Anyone having a Master's Degree in hydrology, meteorology, or disciplines closely related to hydrology and meteorology (e.g., physical sciences, geography, geology, etc), engineering and any other disciplines approved by the General Assembly and having at least 5 years work experience in the field of hydrology and meteorology is eligible for the general membership.
A life membership can be given if a person pays the life membership fee or has remained general member continuously for two years and pays succeeding 5 years’ membership fee in advance.
The society may grant honorary membership to national or international personalities with outstanding achievement or dedication to the development of hydrology and meteorology.
The society may grant institutional membership to national and international non-governmental organizations in order to enhance contacts and work areas.
Persons having Bachelor’s Degree in disciplines for which Master's Degree is required to get general membership may get associate membership.
Only general and life members are eligible for voting, candidacy or propose a candidate for elections.
